Role of Coach

Yvonne graduated with a Masters in Arts (Education & Human Resource Development) from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Dean's Distinction List) from the National University of Singapore. She also holds an Advanced Certificate in Instructional Design and a Diploma in Training and Development Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.

Yvonne is a professional facilitator, coach, talent developer, and training manager with over 18 years of experience across various industries including retail, FMCG, chemical, electronics, education, healthcare, banking, insurance, information services, and media. She has conducted training in various Asia-Pacific countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Australia, and India.

Yvonne has planned and implemented the rollout of the talent review and development processes in several organizations. In two organizations, Yvonne has successfully implemented and facilitated assessment centres to assess and identify managerial potential in managers across Asia Pacific. She was also responsible for the development and implementation of follow-up succession planning and career development initiatives. She has also planned and executed 360-degree feedback processes for several organizations in Asia-Pacific.

In the area of organization development, Yvonne was responsible for managing the roll-out of an organization-wide internal communications program to all Asia-Pacific employees on the change in business strategy and culture. She was also the Asia-Pacific Coordinator in implementing the global annual employee surveys and working with the Asia-Pacific business leaders on the follow-up communications and action items from these surveys in various organizations.

Yvonne is also a career coach with a large global career transition consultancy to provide career transition coaching. In this role, she has successfully provided career transition coaching to more than 80 individual clients of various nationalities from various industries including retail, FMCG, pharmaceutical, electronics, banking, insurance and logistics. She has received her certification in Business Coaching by Coach House Asia, an affiliate of Corporate Coach U. She has also developed and conducted workshops to assist managers and staff in job search and career development.

Yvonne has assisted a number of organizations throughout Asia, including B.Braun, DBS, Elsevier, Gap, Jurong Port, National University of Singapore, People's Association, People Search, Qiagen, RBS, Reed Exhibitions, Roche, Shell, Singapore Institute of Management, Unilever and Vitrex. Prior to entering the fields of coaching and facilitation, Yvonne was the Training Manager of Morgan Stanley, a large US investment bank. She has also worked as the Regional Training & Development manager at LexisNexis and Training Manager at Reuters.

As a trainer, Yvonne has conducted a varied portfolio of workshops in the areas of risk, management, customer service, and interpersonal skills for organizations in various industries and across countries in Asia Pacific. Yvonne also designs and delivers customer service, interpersonal skills, and image and etiquette workshops to academic institutions and corporate organizations. She is a certified user of various tools including MBTI, Lominger's VOICES and DiSC. She is also a Certified Color, Image and Etiquette Consultant by First Impressions, UK.

Yvonne relates well to all levels of people in an organisation and is able to build constructive and effective relationships. She is passionate about helping individuals grow and develop and is able to bring a tremendous level of energy and enthusiasm to her role in any organization.

Recent government related 360 feedback coaching assignments taken were coaching a team of high potential leaders of MICA.
