Role of Coach

Sanjay Mehta is a coach, facilitator and consultant with almost 20 years of career experience mostly in the IT industry, leading businesses and teams locally, regionally in Asia and also in USA. His years in the IT field saw him work for one of the world’s largest software companies, Microsoft. He was there from 2000 to 2009 and was involved in various technical, business and managerial roles. Areas of expertise include Business Management and Operations, Readiness Management including Training Development and Delivery, Program and Project Management, Change Management, Customer and Call Centre Support, Account Management, Consulting, Technical Sales and Systems Management.

Complementing his roles, he has a wide profile of coaching and training experience in IT, Customer Services, Leadership and Management, etc. – covering all levels of the organization. He has strong people management expertise with solid skills in training, mentoring and coaching. He has always had a strong passion for learning and made it a high priority in all his roles. His focus learning areas are in Performance Management, Change, Projects and Business Processes.

Sanjay is a certified coach with a Certificate of Coaching Skills from Results Coaching Systems, a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and is actively coaching executives and people undergoing transitions in their careers. He was a Program Assistant for the Intensive Coach Training for Results Coaching in 2011.

His coaching experience extends to his time at his previous roles, where he has coached and mentored many new hires. Being a learning centered person, he feels it is a great way to improve our thinking and ultimately our capability to learn from our experiences. Coaching is about bringing out the best in others to achieve excellence and success in whatever they may set out to achieve. Some of the people he has coached or is coaching include VP level executives, programmers, contract staff and businessmen. Sanjay has trained and coached in companies and institutions from various sectors like Public Sector, Telco, Banking, Healthcare, Logistics, IT, Education and others.

He is an accredited administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) instrument and conducts MBTI coaching and workshops in the areas of Change, Communications, Teams and Leadership.

He is also pursuing certification in Action Learning for leadership development and Emergenetics Profiling.

Sanjay was also an Adjunct at the Singapore Management University and taught Business Process Engineering and Solutions Blueprinting at the School of Information Services in 2011.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a Double Major in Computer Science and Economics and a Minor in Mathematics from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA. His primary focus was on Information Systems Management and International Economics. He completed his secondary school in Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College and was involved in various leadership roles in the Students Council, Social Services Group and Red Cross Society.
